When you apply to our program or create an account, we may collect:

• Student name, email address, and grade level
• Parent/guardian name and contact information, including phone number
• School name, city, and country of residence
• Research interests and motivation essay
• Academic work and research papers created during the program
• Masterclass and free resource sign-up details (name, email, country)

Payment Information

Program fees are processed by Stripe. Card details are entered directly with Stripe and are never stored on our systems. We retain only the payment reference, amount, currency, and status so we can confirm enrolment.

Automatically Collected Information

When you visit our website, we may automatically collect certain information including your IP address, browser type, operating system, and pages visited.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Process applications and enroll students in our program
• Provide research mentorship and educational services
• Communicate with students and parents about program progress
• Submit student research papers to peer-reviewed journals
• Improve our website and program offerings
• Send program updates and educational resources

4. Protection of Minors

Our program serves students in grades 8-12, many of whom are under 18 years of age. We are committed to complying with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and other applicable laws protecting minors' privacy.

• We require parent/guardian consent for students under 18, and applications ask for parent or guardian contact details
• Our Young Researchers Programme serves middle school students. Where a student is under 13, we collect their information only with verifiable parent or guardian consent, and a parent or guardian may withdraw that consent at any time, after which we delete the child's information
• We collect only information necessary for program participation
• We never require a child to disclose more information than is reasonably needed to take part
• Parents may review, update, or request deletion of their child's information
• We do not sell or rent personal information of any users, and we do not use children's information for targeted advertising

5. Information Sharing

We may share your information in the following circumstances:

• Peer-Reviewed Journals: When submitting student research for publication, we share author information as required by the journal
• Mentors: Assigned mentors receive student information necessary for guidance
• Learn with Leaders: Sir Luther Center is an initiative of Learn with Leaders, and applications, enrolments, and program records are held in Learn with Leaders' central systems
• Payments: Stripe, for processing program fees
• Hosting and database: Supabase, for storing applications and account data
• Email: Google (Gmail) for sending confirmations and program correspondence
• Analytics: Google Analytics, to understand how visitors use the site
• Messaging: WhatsApp, where you have asked us to contact you there
• Legal Requirements: When required by law or to protect our rights

We do not sell personal information and we do not share it with advertisers.

6. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal information. However, no electronic transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.

You have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your information (subject to legal obligations)

To make any of these requests, email team@learnwithleaders.com from the address used in the application, or, for a student under 18, from the parent or guardian address on the application. We respond within 30 days. We may ask for information to confirm identity before acting on a request.

We keep application and enrolment records for as long as needed to run the program and meet legal and accounting obligations. Published papers remain publicly available at the journal that published them, and we cannot remove them from journal websites.
